A prominent son of Ndoki clan, Comrade Ukaegbu Chimezie has said that the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the Ukwa East/Ukwa West Federal Constituency in the 2023 elections, Barrister Nnadozie Okpokiri has all the qualities and qualifications needed to represent Ukwa at the green chamber.
He described the National Assembly as a place that only strong, bold and well exposed people can push the concerns of his people to the front burner of Nigeria politics.
Chimezie, who said these during an interview with Newsportal, pointed out that the people of Ukwa have been neglected for over the years by both the Federal and State governments and needs to put its house in order to ensure that capable persons are voted for next year during the elections.
He said he was confident that Okpokiri would make a solid impact at the National Assembly that would translate into dividends of democracy for the Ukwa Federal Constituency.
Chimezie, who hails from Ohuru in Ukwa East Local Government Area, stated that Nigerians were gradually imbibing the spirit of voting for competence, capacity and experience instead of political parties.
