The Asa South Ward All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State, on Saturday endorsed former Sole Administrator of the Abia State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ASOPADEC), Barrister Henry Chilaka for the Ukwa West State Constituency seat in the Abia House of Assembly in the 2027 general elections.
The endorsement was announced during the official declaration of Chilaka to contest for the ticket of the APC to run for House of Assembly election at the country home of the Ward Chairman, Elder Gilead Esinwa
The former ASOPADEC boss, during his declaration, said he would give quality representation to Ukwa West. He emphasised his understanding of the constituency’s needs, stating that his experience and academic background position him to attract development and ensure the people benefit from democracy dividends.
He appealed for the support of his Ward to clinch the party’s ticket for the election, stressing that he has the capacity to win.
The APC Stakeholders that spoke during the declaration – former APC candidate for House of Assembly, Daberechi Ihenko, aide to the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Commissioner and leader of the Asa South Ward, Elder ThankGod Akoma, Comrade Kenneth Alozie, and Comrade Ihesiulo Uzoma pledged their unalloyed support to Barrister ChIlaka.
Prominent APC Chieftains that witnessed the declaration included former Chief Whip Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Tony Mezie Nwubani, former Senatorial candidate, Signor Kanu, Abia State APC State Treasurer, Chief John Ajuzieogu, President General, Asa Development Union (ADU), Elder Goodluck Nwanneakolam Nwuju, Barrister Levi Isiguzo and many others.
