Former Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Ukwa West chapter, Chief Innocent Chiuwa, has explained why he dumped his party for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
It was reported that Chiuwa joined the APC on Monday with his followers numbering up to 300.
In a chat with Newsportal, the former APGA Chairman disclosed that he decided to defect to the APC as it is the only political party in Nigeria today that is well organised from the Ward to the National level.
He also said that having played opposition politics since 2015 with nothing to show for it, he thought it wise to defect to a ruling party.
According to him, “we have suffered in APGA, nothing to show. I have been using my money to build and keep the party on till yesterday we defected to APC. Am happy now being in national party”.
