The Owo Ala Migrant Farmers Primary School in Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State, on Thursday, successfully hosted its first-ever Inter-house sports competition, drawing excitement and strong community participation.
Speaking, the Supervisory Councillor for Education of Ukwa West Local Government Council, Dr. Chief Chike Eugene Okpokiri, who was the Chairman of the event, expressed satisfaction with the steady progress of the school since its establishment. He made a commitment to restore water supply to the school to improve learning conditions.
Okpokiri, who is also the Patron of the school, gifted three study tablets for e-learning to the best three performing pupils of the school, and made some cash donations.

The Education Secretary, Pastor Chukwuemeka Nwuju, in his speech, disclosed that the Migrant Farmers Primary School, Owo Ala was among the five schools in Ukwa West selected to benefit from free school uniforms. He urged the headmistress of the school and teachers to remain dedicated and resilient in their efforts to improve educational standards.the school outstanding, and promised to send more teachers to the school.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the community, Mr. Chinwendu Adiele, assured that the damaged roof of the school building would be repaired promptly.
The march-pasts performed added colour to the occasion.
