AGN Performs Official Ground Breaking Ceremony for Junior Pope Nollywood City

The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) on Tuesday at Ako Nike, Enugu State, officially performed the ground breaking ceremony of the Junior Pope Nollywood City, a legacy project established in honour of deceased Nollywood star, JohnPaul Odonwodo, popularly known as Junior Pope.

The actor lost his life along with four colleagues on April 10, 2024 when their boat capsized in the Anam river while filming.

According to a publication made by the outgoing President of the Guild, Emeka Rollas Ejezie, Junior Pope Nollywood City would provide affordable land for Nollywood practitioners, host the Junior Pope Creative Hub, and serve as AGN Zonal Secretariat, Enugu.

“I commend the leadership and members of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Enugu State Chapter for this vision, unity, and determination in bringing this project to life. I also appreciate the Enugu State Government, the Ako Nike Community, and our development partners young minds and cool brains real estate management for their support and cooperation”, he said.
