Ukwa West Royal Fathers Laud Gov Otti’s Transformational Leadership, Pledges Support For His Administration

The Council of Traditional Rulers in Ukwa West Local Government Area has given plaudits to the Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, for what it described as ‘his uncommon leadership style’ characterised by landmark achievements in all the sectors of the state’s economy.

Speaking on behalf of the Traditional Rulers, their Chairman, HRM, Eze Chinyere Dike, Isi 1 of Isimanu Autonomous Community, on Wednesday, praised the Governor’s genuine efforts towards carrying every segment of the Abia population along in his development agenda for the state.

The commendation of the Royal Fathers came during an interactive session with their son and Honourable Commissioner for Environment, Philemon Asonye Ogbonna, FCA, at the palace of His Royal Majesty, Eze Levi Obioma Nworgu, Eze Oha 1 of Etitioha Ipu Autonomous Community, Owaza, Ukwa West LGA.

The Commissioner, who had earlier thanked the traditional rulers for their continued support for the government through the maintenance of peace in their various domains, called on them to see themselves as critical stakeholders in halting criminality and forms of vandalism, which he said remained one of the key agenda of the present administration.

He reiterated the over-arching need for community ownership and protection of basic amenities and infrastructure being provided by government from wanton destruction and vandalism, adding that peace and stability were veritable tools for progress and development of every community.

He further urged the traditional rulers to continue mobilizing support for Governor Otti’s people-oriented policies and programmes, which according to him, were steadily transforming Abia into a model of good governance.
