Abia: ADU Convenes Crucial Meeting Over Ukwa West’s Political Interests Ahead of 2027 Elections

The Asa Development Union, (ADU), the umbrella body of all socio-cultural groups in Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State, has announced a crucial general meeting to deliberate on the political direction and interests of Asa people ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to an official publication signed by the Secretary General of ADU, Sir Boniface Nwaigwe, and dated July 30, 2025, the gathering is scheduled for Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Chyvick Model Secondary School, Obehie, by 11:00 AM.

The meeting will bring together a wide spectrum of stakeholders from Asa, including:

▶️ The Chairman and Members of Ukwa West Traditional Rulers Council,

▶️ Current Political Office Holders from Asa,

▶️ Former Political Office Holders from Asa,

▶️ Chairmen and Executive Members of all Political Parties in Asa,

▶️ Chairmen and Five Delegates from each active ADU Branch across Nigeria,

▶️ Presidents General of Town Unions in Asa,

▶️ Leaders of socio-political organisations such as the Asa Liberation Movement, Ukwa Consultative Forum, and Ezumezu Ozaa,

▶️ Leadership of CAN and other religious bodies,

▶️ Women Leaders, Youth Leaders, and

▶️ Elder Statesmen and Stakeholders.
