The Abia State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ASOPADEC), on Thursday, donated food items and cash gifts to Susana Homes for the Less Privileged located at Obuzor, Ukwa West Local Government Area, Abia State.
During the event, the General Manager, Venerable Dr. Joshua Onyeike, represented by the Director of Social Welfare, Mrs. Amarachi Isaac-Nwachukwu, reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to partnering with organisations that uplift the living standards of the people. He praised the staff and management of Susana Homes for their tireless dedication to improving the lives of less privileged children.
Dr. Onyeike emphasized that ASOPADEC remains steadfast in delivering impactful services to oil-producing communities, and beyond, in line with its core mandate and the developmental vision of the the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti. He encouraged the children at Susana Homes to remain hopeful, resilient in faith, and focused on building a brighter future.
In her response, Dr. Chinyere Hendricks, Director of Susana Homes, expressed heartfelt gratitude to ASOPADEC for its generosity and ongoing developmental initiatives in Ukwa West. She highlighted the significance of such partnerships in enhancing the well-being of children under the Home’s care.
The donation package included assorted food supplies, toiletries, a variety of beverages, and financial support to aid in the upkeep of the Home.
Also in attendance was the Chief Liaison Officer of ASOPADEC, Pst. Godson Enwereuzor.
