The Ukwa West chapter of the defunct Tinubu Shettima Grassroots Independent Campaign Council, TSGICC, has lost one of its prominent members. He is Mr. Nkemdirim Onyeike, also known as Popo.
Onyeike succumbed to the pangs of death on January 1, 2025, according to family sources, after suffering a terminal ailment.
He was a front line member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and participated actively in many activities, including compering occasions organised by the party.
He was former Publicity Secretary of the Ukwa West chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and Ozar Ukwu Ward Coordinator of the defunct TSGICC.
Onyeike, who hailed from Umuiku, Ozar Ukwu Ward in Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State, graduated from the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, and was a staff of the Ukwa West Local Government Council.
According to an APC member, the untimely death of Onyeike has created a big vacuum in the political space of Ozaa and Ukwa in general.
