The Ukwa West Chairmanship candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Pastor Dike Nwankwo, has concluded plans to launch his campaign for the coveted office of the Chairman of Ukwa West Local Government Council.
Dike, who is running for the office with Joel Nwankwo, a pastor also, has unveiled his campaign manifesto anchored on Transparency, Equity, Fairness and Accountability.
Speaking with Newsportal on Wednesday, Dike said he would ensure that the core campaign commitments of the Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti got to the people of Ukwa West through his programmes and projects if elected as the Chairman of the area.

He praised the current Mayor of the Local Government, Mr. Newman Azu, for his outstanding performance, adding that he would improve on the spectacular works he has done.
Dike was the Director General of the Abia State Orientation Agency, ABSOA, the Senior Special Assistant on Special Duties to the Abia State Governor, and a member of the Dr. Alex Otti’s Governorship Campaign Council.
He is reputed to be the face of LP in Ukwa West, following his vigorous campaign for Otti.
Dike was a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and left the party for the LP when Dr. Alex Otti defected to the LP.
