Tragedy struck on Friday night at Obehie in Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State as armed men reportedly killed a 49-year okada rider and fled with his newly purchased motorcycle.
According to sources, the deceased, Chukwudi Emezuruike, who was a commercial motorcycle operator picked a passenger at Obehie heading to a location within the community not knowing that the individual was armed.
The assailant allegedly attacked with his gang, and brutally killed the motorcycle operator before making away with his three-week-old bike.
Family sources who spoke to Newsportal confirmed that the incident has been reported to the Obehie Divisional Police station.
The deceased was married with three children, and had an aged mother who he was taking care of before his untimely death.
