The Abia State Government has cancelled the environmental sanitation exercise scheduled for Saturday, March 28, 2026.
In a press release dated Wednesday, March 25, 2026, signed on behalf of the Honourable Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Philemon Asonye Ogbonna, the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry, Obioma Chidinma Success stated that the cancellation was to enable candidates who registered for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) mock examination to participate in the examination without any restrictions or hindrance.
According to the release, Abia residents are advised to disregard earlier announcements made regarding the sanitation exercise.
“The Government, while wishing all the candidates success in the mock examination, appreciates the understanding and cooperation of all residents in this regard”, the release concluded.
