A former Executive Chairman of Ukwa East Local Government Area in Abia State, Hon. Chuks Wabara, has called on the people of Ukwa East to lend support to an Ukwa West candidate for the House of Representatives seat in the 2027 general elections.
In a publication on Sunday, March 15, 2026, titled, “A letter to the good people of Ndoki, Ukwa East LGA”, Wabara, who called for equity in the House of Representatives position that is shared by Ukwa East and Ukwa West, stated that the people of Ukwa West had stood behind Ukwa East, and deserves to be given a chance to go for the House of Representatives in 2027.
According to him, “if we stand on equity if we rotate this position to Asa now we create a precedent. We create a convenant.”
He adds, “We have squandered our own turn and generation on impostors and greedy individuals. Let us not compound that error by blocking the turn of Asa brothers. Let them try. Let them see if they can bring the development we all crave”.
The former Chairman concluded by saying, “Let us support the Asa agenda for this cycle, so that tomorrow, the cycle of development will return to a stronger, wiser Ndoki”.
