Former Ukwa West Local Government Area Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Chief John Ajuzieogu, has emerged as the State Treasurer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State.
The congress, which was monitored by the State Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) and Abia State Commissioner of Police, attracted APC stakeholders from the 17 local government areas of the state.
Ajuzieogu secured the position during the APC state congress held on Tuesday at Murphy’s Mansion Resort, War Museum Road, Amafor-Isingwu, Umuahia, the capital of Abia State.
A former Executive Chairman of Ukwa West Local Government Council, Ajuzieogu hails from Asa North Ward in Ukwa West Local Government Area.
During his time in the PDP, he was credited with leading the party to several electoral victories in the Ukwa East/Ukwa West Federal Constituency.
