NDDC Commissioner Dimgba Urges Ukwa West APC Stakeholders To Mobilise For Party E-Registration

The Commissioner representing Abia State on the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr. Eruba Dimgba, has called on All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Ukwa West Local Government Area to intensify mobilisation of members and prospective members for the party’s ongoing electronic registration (e-registration) exercise.

Dimgba made the call on Saturday during a general meeting he convened at the APC Secretariat, Obehie, Ukwa West, where he disclosed that the APC leadership at the state level holds the Ukwa West chapter in high esteem due to its consistent growth and rising membership strength.
“They know we are up and doing. It is evident that we have passion for our party,” Dimgba said.

“Our growing numbers clearly indicate that we are on course to win the next elections.”

The NDDC Commissioner explained that the primary objective of the meeting was to sensitise party leaders and members on the urgent need for massive participation in the APC e-registration, stressing that each ward is expected to register at least 10,000 members electronically.

He warned that failure to participate in the e-registration exercise would disqualify individuals from being recognised as legitimate APC members, adding that registration agents have already been deployed across all the ten political Wards to ensure a smooth process.
“Whether you intend to contest an election or not, please support and encourage the registration agents to do their work,” he urged.

Dimgba further assured stakeholders that officials of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) would be made available to assist members in obtaining their National Identification Number (NIN), a requirement for the e-registration.

Several prominent APC stakeholders who spoke at the meeting, chaired by the Ukwa West APC Chairman, Elder Kenneth Uju Nwarie, expressed appreciation to Dr. Dimgba for convening the meeting and emphasised the importance of unity, cooperation, and collective effort in positioning the party for victory in upcoming elections.
