Condolence messages have continued to pour in for the family of Deacon Steve Adindu Nwankwo following the sudden passing of his wife, Mrs. Nwadi Adindu Nwankwo, a development that has left the family in deep mourning.
Prominent political and community leaders across Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State have expressed shock and sorrow over the tragic loss. A frontline political figure in the area, Daberechi Ihenko, described the incident as “heartbreaking.” Similarly, renowned legal practitioner and politician, Barrister Sam Ogbonna, urged the bereaved family to remain strong during this difficult time.
In her reaction, a respected community woman leader, Mrs. Chinenye Oforji, lamented the painful nature of the loss, recalling the family’s previous bereavement.
“Such a painful and shocking news. This is just two years death took your mother, our mother, our Lay Reader from us, and now this! Nwadi, may your soul rest in peace. Amen. My heartfelt condolences to the husband and the entire family,” she said.
Further condolences were received from the former Chief Whip of the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Tony Mezie Nwubani, while the Assistant Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State, Engr. Sterling Chinwendu Uruakpa, described the death as “deeply sad” and prayed for God’s strength and comfort for the family.
Meanwhile, the family of the late Mrs. Nwadi Steve Adindu Nwankwo has officially announced that her burial ceremony has been scheduled for February 27, 2026.
According to the family, prolonging the stay of her remains in the morgue would serve no meaningful purpose.
