Ukwa West Electricity Restoration Shows Purposeful Leadership By Gov Otti, Says Environment Commissioner As He Hosts Abia Arise Monthly Meeting

The Abia State Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Philemon Asonye Ogbonna, has described the restoration of electricity in Ukwa West Local Government Area as a clear demonstration of purposeful and people-centered leadership by Governor Alex Otti.

Ogbonna made this statement on Tuesday at his country home in Owaza, Ukwa West, while hosting the monthly meeting of Abia Arise, Ukwa West Chapter.

According to the Commissioner, the return of electricity supply to Ukwa West reflects Governor Otti’s genuine concern for the welfare and development of the people. He added that the Governor will continue to enjoy the support of well-meaning Abians due to his visible achievements and commitment to good governance.

Speaking at the event, former Mayor of Ukwa West, Mr. Newman Azu, noted that the electricity restoration is proof that the Otti administration is correcting past failures and restoring public confidence in governance.

Also addressing attendees, Engr. Adinigwe Ugochukwu Nwoke, a leader of the Labour Party in Abia State, commended the impressive turnout at the meeting and called for sustained grassroots mobilisation to strengthen the party across the state.

A major highlight of the gathering was the formal induction of 124 new members into Abia Arise, conducted by the Abia State Coordinator of the organisation, Mazi Nkem Okoro.

Dignitaries present at the meeting included the Ukwa West Chapter Coordinator of Abia Arise, Hon. Ndukauba Adiele; Associate Professor Ngozi Onwubiko Dike, a member of the Abia State University Governing Board; and Apostle I. O. Dike, among others.
