The newly formed New Ukwa Progressives Initiative, (NUPI), a distinguished advocacy group, has officially unveiled the members of its Board of Trustees.
The Board, which is chaired by one time politician and seasoned public servant, Elder Victor K. Nwankwoji popularly known as Osinanwata has as its National Chairman, Dr. Franklin E. Akanwa. Other members include: Comrade Ugwumba Adolphus Adiele, National Deputy Chairman, Mr Felix, Chidubem Ambition, Secretary General, Barrister Ogbuji Esoroibe, Legal Advisor, Mr. Clement Ukachukwu Samuel,Treasurer, Mr, Raymond Ogbuji, Media and Publicity and Mr. Chukwuemeka Felix Ebere, member.
In a statement jointly signed by the National Chairman Dr. Franklin Akanwa, and Mr. Felix Ambition, Secretary General, the body extended invitation to well-meaning and affluent individuals from Ukwa East/Ukwa West Federal Constituency who posses sincere intentions for community development to join them.
According to the publication, “NUPI comprises independent, distinguished, and dynamic individuals from Ukwa East and Ukwa West dedicated to advancing community development and human capital development for both its members and the broader Ukwa community”.
It continues, “”As a pressure group, NUPI shall persist in advocating for effective governance, holding our leaders from Ukwa accountable, and distinguishing right from wrong to foster a cohesive community 1rooted in unity, love, peace, and honesty. We are a formidable and dependable entity committed to promoting unity among the two communities, advocating for community development, mutual respect for constituted authorities, and preserving our cultural heritage”.
