Prominent Ukwa Royal Family Announces Two-Day Medical Outreach Ahead Of Burial Of Late Mother Ugoeze Nworie Nwosu

The Royal Family of Prince Emenike Nwosu of Umuagu village in Owo Ala Asa in Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State, has announced a Two-Day free medical outreach for members of the community, as part of the activities to mark the burial their late matriarch, Ugoeze Margaret Nworie Nwosu.

Late Ugoeze Nworie Nwosu hailed from Obiga, Asa in Ukwa West before she got married to late Eze Stephen Wogu Nwosu, the Okenze II of Ozaa Ukwu autonomous community.

According to a publication made by Prince Eme Nwosu on behalf of the family, the outreach, which will hold between November 16 and 17, 2025 precedes the burial of their late mother, Ugoeze Nworie Nwosu, on Friday, December 19, 2025 at her late husband’s country home in Owo Ala Asa, Ukwa West.

The burial of the late Ugoeze, fondly known as “Yeye”, is set to be a grand celebration of life. The event is expected to attract dignitaries from inside and outside the country, a reflection of her kind heartedness, and community impact while and the prominence of her children, grand children, great grand children and daughters in-law, who occupy distinguished positions in society.

Late Ugoeze is survived by numerous children and daughters in-law, including Prince Chuma Nwosu, a retired Deputy Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, and Prof. Edith Eme Nwosu, a distinguished scholar at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, UNN, whose academic and professional accomplishments further underscore the family’s notable standing.

The service of songs for late Ugoeze Nworie Nwosu will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2925, and burial ceremony conducted by the Anglican Church.
