The President General of the Asa Development Union, (ADU), Elder Goodluck Nwanneakolam Nwuju, has formally, announced the passing of his beloved mother, Deaconess Elizabeth Nwuju.
According to the publication, she died on February 28, 2025, at Coban Specialist Hospital, Elekahia, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, after a brief illness. She was 74 years old.
Deaconess Elizabeth Nwuju was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and respected community leader. Born into the family of Late Ezinna Phillip Osuagwu (a.k.a. Nyanya) of Umuogba Umungbede Asa-Amator in Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Area, Abia State, she later married into the family of Late Deacon Francis Iheanacho Nwuju.
A woman of deep faith and compassion, Deaconess Nwuju dedicated her life to service, family, and community development. She was a pillar of strength and wisdom, known for her generosity, hospitality, and peacemaking spirit. A committed member of the United Evangelical Church, she was actively involved in women’s fellowship and church outreach programmes.
Her legacy of faith, kindness, and leadership continues to live on through her son, Elder Goodluck Nwuju, her grandchildren, extended family, and countless friends and community members whose lives she touched.
She will be fondly remembered for her nurturing heart, spiritual devotion, and unwavering commitment to the well-being of those around her.
