As Governor Alex Chioma Otti of Abia State marks his second year in office, the immediate past Mayor of Ukwa West Local Government Area, Mr. Newman Azu, has lauded the Governor’s transformational leadership and unwavering dedication to the development of the State.
In a congratulatory message released on Thursday, Azu described Governor Otti as a visionary leader with exceptional intellect and a genuine passion for progress. He stated that Otti’s achievements in just two years have demonstrated his strong commitment to improving the lives of Abia residents and driving sustainable development across the state.
“Governor Otti has shown great capacity and zeal in implementing impactful projects,” Azu noted. “His love for Abia State is evident and has become contagious, even converting critics into supporters due to the visible positive changes he continues to deliver.”
The former Mayor emphasized that Governor Otti’s governance style has confirmed that there are still individuals in power who are genuinely committed to doing things right, thereby fostering growth for both the people and their communities.
Azu specifically praised the Governor for the developmental projects in Ukwa West and the reconstruction of Port Harcourt road in Aba, adding Otti’s developmental strides across Abia have already begun to transform the state’s socio-economic landscape.
He concluded with prayers for continued success, asking God to bless Governor Otti and his wife with long life and excellent health as they pursue their vision of building a “New Abia.”
