The Abia State University (ABSU) has applauded the Executive Governor of Abia State and Visitor to the University, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, for his exemplary leadership and unwavering support for education in the state. The commendation follows the university’s exceptional performance in the October/November 2024 National Universities Commission (NUC) Accreditation Exercise, where it recorded 100% accreditation across all assessed programmes.
The Vice-Chancellor of ABSU, Professor Ndukwe J. Okeudo, described the feat as a remarkable milestone achieved just days after his assumption of office on November 1, 2024. He attributed the success to the enabling environment created by Governor Otti’s progressive governance.
Professor Okeudo also recognized the instrumental roles played by the Hon. Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Professor Uche Eme-Uche, the Pro-Chancellor and Governing Council Chairman, Rt. Hon. Agwu U. Agwu, Ph.D, and other key stakeholders in achieving this success.
He reaffirmed the University Management’s commitment to providing an enabling environment for teaching, research, and community service, with a focus on achieving even greater accomplishments in the future.
