ASOPADEC Distributes Agricultural Inputs to Rural Women Farmers in Ukwa West, Abia State

The Abia State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ASOPADEC) has distributed essential agricultural inputs to rural women farmers in Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State. This initiative is part of ASOPADEC’s strategic efforts to empower local farmers and promote food security across oil-producing communities in the state.

In a press release signed by the Commission’s Information Officers, Iyke Onuegbu and Glory Azubuike, the General Manager of ASOPADEC, Venerable Dr. Joshua Onyeike, emphasized that the agricultural distribution is a key intervention aimed at boosting food production and encouraging women’s active participation in agriculture.

Represented by the Director of Social Welfare, Mrs. Amarachi Isaac-Nwachukwu, the General Manager urged beneficiaries to maximize the use of the inputs and reiterated ASOPADEC’s continued support for rural farmers. He also called on the women to support the administration of Governor Dr. Alex Otti, under whose leadership the initiative was made possible.

Beneficiaries of the program, including Ugoeze Sandra Nwagbara from Isi Obuzor Community, Uloma Nwabueze from Umunteke, and Chidinma Favour from Umuorie, expressed deep appreciation to Governor Alex Otti for his commitment to rural development and agricultural empowerment. They also praised ASOPADEC for bringing vital support to grassroots farmers.
