A middle aged man, named Boniface Jacob Amako, has reportedly killed himself after burning his vehicle and motorbike at community known as Ngwaiyiekwe in Ugwunagbo Local Government Area of Abia State.
Information available to Newsportal has it that the middle aged man had earlier locked his four children in the car with the intention of burning them alive before the children miraculously bolted out of the car and ran away.
The man, who is said to have been involved in the activities of a popular shrine at Ngwaiyiekwe, later reached out for a gun and shot himself dead.
The incident was said to have occurred on Thursday night. Sympathisers besieged the deceased home in the early hours of Friday to catch a glimpse of his corpse before it was evacuated to a morgue.
