The Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives and member representing Bende Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, has said he was energised to continue rendering selfless service to the people.
Kalu, who stated this after a successful tour of all the political Wards in his Federal Constituency, expressed gratitude to the Traditional Rulers of the Ancient Kingdom of Bende for the honour bestowed on him.
In a publication, the Deputy Speaker said:
“As I concluded this successful ward tour in my ward, Bende, yesterday, I was overwhelmed with gratitude for the outpouring of love and appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for graciously signing of the South East Development Commission Bill into law and to the 10th Assembly for making this a reality.
“With great delight, I received numerous constituents from various political parties who decided to join our party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), with strong belief in the current administration to move our nation forward.
“Having conducted this crucial needs analysis and listened to the various challenges currently affecting our constituency, I am spurred to take concrete steps to ensure they are attended to in due course.”
He visited Item, Ugwueke, Alayi, Itumbauzo, Uzuakoli, Umuahia Ezechi, Ozuitem, Nkpa, Igbere and Bende during his tour.
