Ukwa West Mayor, Mr. Newman Azu, was described as judiciary friendly during the ground breaking ceremony of the Centre of the Nigeria Bar Association, NBA, Ukwa branch recently.
The NBA Ukwa, obviously, had justification for such description, as Azu had given strong expression to the fact that he loves seeing the judicial officers work in a very conducive environment.
The Mayor has, within five months of his tenure, reconstructed the Ukwa High Court and the Obehie Customary Court in the Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State, which were in very deplorable conditions.
He also extended his love for the Judiciary to the Nigeria Police by completing its administrative building at Obehie, which was abandoned for years.
While this reporter was taking the picture of the administrative building, some police officers began to praise the Ukwa West Mayor for the uncommon attention he had given to the Police.
