Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, alias, Burna Boy, has just released the much anticipated follow up to his 2021 Grammy winning album, Twice As Tall.

The new album, Love, Damini comprises 19 tracks, and spans across different genres, showing off his versatility and music range.

The project sees international features from Kehlani, J Balvin, Khalid, Popcaan, J Hus and Ed Sheeran, South Africa’s male choral group, Ladysmith Black Mambazo and a domestic feature from Nigeria’s Victony.

It should be recalled that Burna Boy spoke about the album during a May interview with Billboard Magazine, when he explained the inspiration behind its title and its overall theme.

In the interview, he said:

“That’s how I like to sign all my letters, because I didn’t know the proper [signoff]. It’s a bit personal [because] it’s bringing you into my head on my birthday — when you turn 31 and ain’t got no kids, everything is going good and bad at the same time. You reflect and then you get as lit as possible. Then you sleep and wake up and reflect again. I’m reflecting on everything — what I’m doing and what’s happening where I’m from. Where I’m from is a part of where I’m going.”

The album was released July 8, 2022, days after his 31st birthday and is available to stream on all major online platforms.
