The Union of European Football Association, UEFA, concluded its fixtures for quarter final draws with Manchester City to play Atletico Madrid on April 5, 2022.
Chelsea FC will play host to Real Madrid on the 6th of April, 2022.
Friday’s UEFA Champions League draw has confirmed this edition’s quarterfinal ties and set out the semifinals as well as the final pathways for the eight remaining teams.
From the draws, Manchester City or Atletico Madrid will face Chelsea or Real Madrid in what is most likely to be a stunning four-game run to Stade de France in Saint-Denis.
Villarreal or Bayern will challenge Benfica or Liverpool for what could be a sensational German-English semi, but they would know better than to write-off the Portuguese or Spaniards after this week’s results.
Whichever team triumphs from that second side of the Champions League draw will be the “home” team in Paris come Saturday, May 28 for what should be an intense matchup with Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester City or Atletico Madrid.
