The candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the Ukwa East/Ukwa West Federal Constituency in the 2023 general elections, Barrister Nnadozie Okpokiri, has assured the people that he would offer them purposeful, robust, effective and selfless representation if elected into the National Assembly.
Okpokiri, who gave this assurance in his manifesto, said he was committed to sponsoring and supporting bills in the Green Chamber that would grow the huge human and material resources within the Ukwa Federal Constituency.
He noted that Nigeria’s democracy was still at its infancy and faced a myriad of challenges, adding that it needed to be nurtured for it to grow and develop.
“The oversight functions of the Legislature are fundamental to this process. And the absence of such oversight functions will only lead to authoritarian rule”, he said.
