The Rivers State House of Assembly has revoked the ownership of the 868 plots of land occupied in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital by the Africa Independent Television, AIT.
The AIT, which is a subsidiary of Daar Communications has Raymond Dokpesi as its Chairman.
It should be recalled that Dokpesi was the Director General of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar during the party’s primaries.
The House cited wrongful acquisition as the reason for it’s action, which followed a petition by the host communities of AIT.
