A Senatorial aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Dr. Kasarachi Enyinna has appealed to indigenes and residents of Abia South Senatorial District to support an Ukwa person to replace Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe at the red chamber.
The Abia South Senatorial seat has been occupied by Abaribe, who is an Ngwa man, for the past 15 years.

In a statement made available to journalists on Wednesday, Enyinna stated that the minority position of Ukwa in Abia South should not be responsible for denying it a place in the Senate, adding that it was based on understanding that an Ukwa Senator paved way for an Ngwa man to emerge as Senator in 2007.
He said that democracy could only be beautiful when the majority considers the minority worthy of playing active part in it.
Enyinna expressed his commitment to the developmental challenges of the Senatorial District, stressing that he had the capacity to change the narratives in many aspects of social life.
He said that he had over the years committed personal resources into projects and programmes that have positively impacted on his immediate community of Ukwa West Local Government Area.
