Breaking: APGA HoR Candidate, Nwoke Adinigwe Ugochukwu Resigns, Cites Need For Broader Political Platform To Achieve Vision As Reason

The candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, for the Ukwa East/Ukwa West Federal Constituency in the 2023 general elections, Engr. Adinigwe Ugochukwu Nwoke has resigned his membership of the party.

In a formal letter addressed to the Chairman of APGA, Ipu West Ward in Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State, dated June 1, 2025, Nwoke stated that his resignation followed careful considerations of the need for him to realise his vision for the people of Ukwa, stressing that his dream needed to be pursued with stronger alliances and collaborations with like-minded individuals.

Nwoke, who said that he led the APGA to achieve remarkable successes during the last general elections, highlighted the fact that his efforts resulted in securing the Senatorial seat for the party against the incumbent Governor.

He thanked the party for providing him the platform to contest for the House of Representatives.
