The Umuebom village, Obibor-Obuzor in Umunneato Autonomous Community in Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State is in a mournful mood as it sets to commit to mother earth the remains of one of its illustrious sons, late Chief Joseph Onwukwe Iwela on Thursday, March 27, 2025.
Aged 72, Iwela, whose burial ceremony would take place at the Obibor Primary School, was widely known for his community development endeavours.
According to the Chief Mourner, Mr. Kingsley Obinna Iwela, the Christian wake will take place on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at late Chief Joseph Onwukwe Iwela’s country home at Umuebom village, Obibor-Obizor, while interment, which holds on Thursday, March 27, will be handled by the Jerusalem City All Nations Church, Umunteke, Asa, Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State.
