The Mayor of Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State, Mr. Newman Azu, on Monday, disclosed that grading of roads will cut across the ten political Wards in Ukwa West in no distant time.
The Mayor, who made this disclosure during the flag-off of the grading of the Ugwati – Obokwe – Umuekechi road, noted that it was time to give maximum attention to the developmental needs of the people of the local government area.
He urged the people to continue to support the government of Governor Alex Otti, adding that the coming years would witness massive transformation in critical sectors under the Governor.
In his own speech, the General Manager of Abia State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, ASOPADEC, Venerable Joshua Onyeike, made a commitment to provide a bore-hole to the Ugwati community before the end of January, 2024, stressing that the project was critical to the well being of the people of the area.
