The candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the Ukwa East/Ukwa West Federal Constituency in the 2023 general elections, Barrister Nnadozie Okpokiri, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his victory at the Supreme Court.
In a statement released on Saturday, Okpokiri said since campaigns, elections and court matters were over, it was time to move on in the interest of Nigeria.
According to him, “campaigns and elections are over. The Supreme Court has given its verdict. It is now time to heal and move on. I understand the frustration of the verdict for those that went to court, but in the spirit of sportsmanship, all parties should accept the outcome as the highest court in the land has ruled and it is final.”
He urged the presidential candidates of both the People’s Democratic Party, PDP and Labour Party, LP to accept the verdict, even if they disagreed with it, adding that what the country needed at this critical time was the coming together of everyone in the interest of a united Nigeria.
Okpokiri said he was confident that the president’s renewed Hope Agenda would be implemented for the benefit of every Nigerian regardless of tribe, religion and party affiliation.
