The Umuorie Community in the Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State, on Monday, formed a Committee to give their late traditional ruler, Eze Innocent Umunnakwe Nkwocha a befitting burial.
It should be recalled that HRH Eze Nkwocha joined his ancestors on September 02, 2023.
Announcing the Committee on behalf of the Community, Pastor Godson Enwereuzor said members of the Committee, who were carefully selected, were expected to assist in ensuring that late Nkwocha got the kind of burial deserving of his immense contributions to the Umuorie Community and the entire Ukwa land.
The Committee, which includes the Traditional Prime Minister of the Umuorie Community, Chief Silas Ihenkor, Elder Dr. Chibuike E. Kanu, Chief Laz Enwereuzor, Chief Reginald Ezenta, Sir Bright Agu, Chief Lucky Ogbuji, Engr. Okey Ule and ThankGod Ntaku.
Others are; Sir P.C.O. Agomuo, Pastor Godson Enwereuzor, Henry Amadi, Sir Kelechi Nwuka, Barrister Ugoala Ukaegbu, Samuel Agonsi, Sir Echezie Nwoke, Ugo Woloki and Comr. Martin Noah. Also included in the Committee are the Chairmen of the villages that make up the Umuorie Community.
The burial Committee had its inaugural meeting on Monday, October 09, 2023.
