The chances of the candidate of the Ukwa East/Ukwa West Federal Constituency, All Progressives Congress, APC, Barrister Nnadozie Okpokiri winning the House of Representatives elections in February, received a boost on Saturday as more communities in the Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State pledged their support for his candidature.
Receiving the entourage of the APC Candidate, the representatives of Umuituru, Umuorie, Ezendeoma and Umuajoha communities assured that they would deliver Barrister Okpokiri on the election day.
As has been characteristic of him, the House of Representatives hopeful made a commitment to ensure that dividends of democracy reached the people of Ukwa Federal Constituency.
He noted with great concern the challenges facing the communities, and promised to confront them headlong if he is voted into the Green Chamber.
Okpokiri disclosed that there were many privileges associated with the office of a federal lawmaker, adding that he would utilise them for the good of the people of Ukwa East and Ukwa West Local Government Areas.
