Abia Community Goes Agog As Traditional Ruler Celebrates 22 Years On Throne

The Isimanu Autonomous Community in Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State has been enveloped with intense excitement over the celebration of 22 years on the throne by her traditional ruler, Eze Augustine Chinyere Dike.

In a publication, the Community disclosed that it was carved out from Isi Ozar Autonomous Community during the time of late Hon. H.M.J. Nwachukwu, the Eze Ugo 11 of Isi Ozar Autonomous Community, adding that its Community is made up of 12 villages divided into three sub-communities of Umuokwor, Ikpokwu and Obiga.

The publication further states that her traditional ruler, HRH Eze Dike received his Staff of Office from Chief Whip of the Nigerian Senate, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu when he was the Executive Governor of Abia State.

“The Isimanu Autonomous Community that had no schools at the time of its creation presently has three government primary schools and many private schools in addition to three oil and gas companies”, the publication adds.

The ceremony, which will take place on Friday, December 30, 2022, is expected to attract the high and the mighty in Abia State including the Executive Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu. It will also witness the award of chieftaincy titles to deserving individuals and friends of the community.

Also expected to grace the occasion is the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the Ukwa East/Ukwa West Federal Constituency in the 2023 general elections, Barrister Nnadozie Okpokiri.
