The Abia State chapter of the Tinubu Shettima Independent Campaign Council on Thursday at Umuahia unveiled its State, Senatorial, Federal Constituency and Local Government Area officers.
Welcoming the officers of the Campaign Council, former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Martins Azubuike said the focus of the Council was to engage on a door-to-door campaign to gain votes for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, adding that its activities would complement the efforts of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, PCC.
He stressed the need for the officers to work very hard to ensure victory for Tinubu, who he described as a man that knows how to reward loyalty.
Azubuike, who was the Deputy Governorship candidate of the APC in 2019 general elections, urged the Council members to form a network of volunteer Campaigners that would reach out to the voters in Abia State.
He directed the Local Government Area Coordinators to set up chapters of the Tinubu Shettima Grassroots Independent Campaign Council at both Ward and Polling Unit levels.
