The candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2023 general elections, Barrister Nnadozie Okpokiri, on Monday, at the St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Umuiku, in Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State, received prayers from the Ukwa West chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria.
The umbrella body of Christians in Nigeria during its One Day Fasting and Prayer Camp/Retreat 2022 tagged, Raising Elder’s At The Gates, prayed God to restore peace to reign in the country, give Nigerian leaders the strength and courage to fight insecurity to enable God’s own people worship unhindered in their different churches across the land.
It also prayed God to bless Ukwa land with good and visionary leaders who can identify with the challenges of the people.
In his welcome address, Rev. Canon Gerald Azubuike, said the fasting and prayer came at the right time, as Ukwa land and Nigeria was longer sound as it ought to be, adding that the political, economic, family, Local Government and Community gates of Nigeria were in need of divine visitation.
