Amid controversies surrounding the All Progressives Congress, APC’s Muslim-Muslim ticket for the presidential election in 2023, the party will unveil the Vice Presidential candidate, Senator Kashim Shettima tomorrow at Abuja.
Shettima’s candidature has led to various attacks from different individuals and organisations resulting in some prominent members of the APC resigning their membership of the party.
In a statement signed by the National Organising Secretary of the APC, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, the ceremony will be held at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja on Wednesday, July 20, 2022.
Part of the statement reads:
“All Members of the National Executive Committee (NEC), Members of the Progressives Governors’ Forum, Members of APC Caucus in the National Assembly, Members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC), Members of the Diplomatic Corps, Presidential Aspirants at the June 2022 Special National Convention, APC State Chairmen, APC State Secretaries and APC State Organising Secretaries, are, hereby, invited to witness this landmark Official Unveiling of our Great Party’s Vice Presidential Candidate”.
