A socio-cultural group known as Unique Women of Ukwa has endorsed the intention of Dr. Kasarachi Enyinna to contest for the governorship position of Abia State.
It should be recalled that Enyinna recently at Ogwe, his hometown, in Ukwa West Local Government declared his intention to run for the office of Governor for Abia State on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The group, in a statement issued on Saturday, signed by its Chairlady, Mrs Oluchi Onwukwe, said it was convinced that Abia under the leadership of Enyinna would witness accelerated development.
It contended that no person from the Ukwa political bloc of Abia State has had the privilege of superintending over the affairs of the state since its creation in 1991, adding that the time had come for the people of Abia to give them a chance at governance.
Mrs Onwukwe expressed sadness over the fact that Ukwa has suffered serious neglect in spite of being the only oil producing area in Abia State.
She commended the boldness of Dr Enyinna to rise up at this time to ask for a pride of place for Ukwa in the scheme of things in Abia, stressing that they were solidly behind his ambition.
She also pleaded with other parts of the State to give their support to Enyinna, who, she described as courageous, competent, focused and daring, adding that she had no doubts that the governorship aspirant would reposition Abia and make it conducive for both inhabitants and visitors.
Dr. Enyinna, who is promising to fix Infrastructure, Education, Insecurity and Healthcare in Abia State, is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Fundvine Capital and Securities Ltd.
