Barely two weeks after the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was awarded N1 billion by a High Court in Abia State for the invasion of his Afara Ukwu home by the Military, he has said that the judgement got from the Court has vindicated him and that he looked forward to new opportunities as a result of the favourable judgement.
It should be recalled that Justice Benson Anya, sitting at an Umuahia High Court, Abia State had ruled that the invasion of Kanu’s home by the military was illegal, unlawful, unconstitutional, and thereafter awarded him N1 billion.
In his comments on his Twitter handle, Aloy Ejimakor, Kanu’s special counsel said, “I had a visitation with Onyendu today and formally presented to him the victory he scored from the Abia High Court. He was profoundly pleased that he has been vindicated and looks forward to the new opportunities brought by the judgment. He greets you all – the faithful and the loyal.”
