Former Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Chris Nkwonta has dumped the APC for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Nkwonta declared for the PDP, Wednesday, at his Ward, Akwete – Ohandu Ward in Ukwa East Local Government Area.
The two-time Abia South Senatorial Candidate on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, was received into the PDP by the Chairman of Akwete – Ohandu Ward, Engr. Endwell Nwadiuko.
Speaking through the State Asst. Secretary, Chief Richard Nwagbara, during the declaration ceremony, the Abia State Chairman of the PDP, Rt. Hon. Allwell Asiforo Okere, described the defection of Nkwonta to PDP, as a home-coming, adding that the party would become more robust in Ukwa East Local Government Area.
