A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Abia State, Chief Chris Nkwonta, has resigned from the party.
Nkwonta, former Senatorial Candidate on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in the 2015 and 2019 general elections defected to the APC, few months ago.
In his letter of resignation dated December 28, 2021, Nkwonta, who resigned from the APGA on December 28, 2020, and later joined the APC, wrote, “This is to formally notify you of my decision to resign my membership of the APC with effect from today 28/12/21.
“This decision was taken after due consultations with my followers and I would like to wish you well”.
It is not clear as at press time which political party the former APC Chieftain will defect to.
