An Abia High Court, yesterday, ordered Mazi Enyinnaya Harbour to stop parading himself as the Abia State All Progressives Congress, APC, Chairman elect pending the determination of the suit before it.
Harbour emerged Chairman during the Congress conducted by the High Chief Ikechi Emenike led faction of the Abia State APC on the 16th of October, 2021.
The court presided over by Hon. Justice C. Ahuchaogu in the restraining order also barred the APC and its Caretaker Committee Chairman, Mai Mala Buni from receiving, accepting and/or acting on the purported list of successful candidates for the APC State Congress in Abia State from Rt. Hon. Mukter Bajeh.
An order of interim injunction was also granted for both parties to stay all action(s) connected/related to the Subject matter of the suit and to maintain status quo, pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice.
The order further recognizes Donatus Nwankpa as the caretaker committee chairman of APC in Abia.
